CHOCOLATE NOTES

"Chocolate is cheaper than therapy and you don't need an appointment."

My love affair with chocolates started quite some time ago and it is not based plainly on how it can really make me go "wow" - closing my eyes and revelling in the moment as the thick chocolate flavour overwhelms my mouth.

There are many other reasons that create this inconspicuous attachment to it. For one, it reduces stress and also, how the really good ones like Royce chocolate can make me happy if I receive it as a gift just to name another.

Chocolates are tasty but I tend to get bored when I see them most of the time. The reason why is because it is so common to spot and find stalls that sell a whole assortment of common brands like M&Ms and toblerone be it in supermarkets or wholesale stalls like the Cocoa Tree. It makes purchasing chocolates an experience that lacks that bit of spark.

So you must be thinking, what's up with my fascination and constant promotion of chocolates?

Well, I've chanced upon this chocolate stall today that is really unique and worthy of mention right here on my blog.

Stepping foot into the recently unravelled One KM mall at Paya Lebar was a decent experience but what made this experience an eye catchy one was because of this stall. It is named: Chocolate Notes.

From the outside, it does not seem that spectacular but upon a closer look, it sells a whole variety of chocolates that come with interesting designs.

These designs as quoted from the shop owner, changes over time and if there is a season approaching like the current Christmas phase, the stall will be replete with chocolates that reflect that particular festive occasion.

In a sense, it is predictable in that way but it makes you wonder what are the types of chocolates and designs that this stall can come up with.

Ultimately, enjoying tasty food and snacks is both a visual and sensual experience. One cannot do without the other. Pretty and cute designs on chocolates can add further spark to the whole chocolate-consumption experience.

This Chocolate Notes stall ensures that the surprise factor when purchasing chocolates will always be there and it is little wonder that the passers by to this stall are intrigued to look around the stall to find out more about the chocolates on sale.

Good things don't come cheap but the pricing of the chocolates the shop sells are actually reasonable as can be seen from the picture below.

Just to add on, they also provide customization services to the chocolates that make this shop an easy option for getting door gifts or even a simple present for a friend. Customization pricings vary depending on the design and size of the chocolate you request.

Thus far, there are only 2 such stalls in Singapore and I'm quite sure this budding chocolate stall has a bright future ahead of it.
