“There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you, and there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.”
― Lemony Snicket, Horseradish

Putting my aunt's words into perspective, it is true that there is always that particular someone or something out there that is better than me. In turn, it is such a fact that keeps me motivated to keep going and explore more places not just overseas, but also in Singapore as well. Improving oneself, by seeing different places and experiencing different perspectives and emotions.

I'm in perfect luck today as my aunt is bringing me to Equinox for her birthday. A 1-for-1 offer as she is a credit card holder. Just thinking of all that good food in your system is simply an ecstatic sensation. Boy oh boy, was I in for a treat.

I was greeted with quite a view as I stepped into the 70th level of Swissotel.

Equinox provided the perfect blend of scenery and ambience which is essential for all fine dining venues. Savouring the food and being able to take a break by simply looking to your right, out into the city skyline. It simply makes you feel on top of the World(a real fact!)

Most importantly, the food had to be good.
And sure enough, it was definitely not a disappointment!
The main courses of foie gras and Barramundi were heavenly and the buffet offered a great variety. The usual cold dishes like salmon and sushis were fresh and I must say, the star of that section had to be the oysters. Amongst others, the mango cakes were delectable and the soups on offer were great!
 Mushroom Soup!

Side dishes including the ham and scone

Raw delights!

Freshly served Barramundi

It was really a perfect lunch capped off by the 5 star service provided at Equinox.
Overall, a pricey place to have a meal in for sure but definitely worth the money especially with that guaranteed view out of the restaurant!
